Bismarck Transition Center

The Bismarck Transition Center (BTC) is a community-based correctional program that assists incarcerated individuals with the transition back into society. BTC offers resources that help incarcerated individuals develop the vital skills they need to obtain reentry essentials, such as gainful employment and safe housing. Community, Counseling, and Correctional Services, Inc. (CCCS), in partnership with the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, opened BTC in August 2002. Their goal is to meet the supervision and control needs of incarcerated adults in a community-based correctional setting by providing a safe and secure transition of residents into the community. Residents are provided with a structured living and work environment through staff supervision and monitoring. Additionally, BTC offers case management plans, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Substance Abuse Services, and community-based programming, including spiritual and religious activities. Referrals to the BTC can be made by almost every segment of the North Dakota criminal justice and correctional system, including correctional facility staff, parole officers, probation officials, and DOC staff. Contact the BTC program administrator directly for any program-related questions.
