Breakaway Outreach

Breakaway Outreach is a nonprofit organization, with a mission to empower young people through communities of faith, hope, and love. They aim to see young people BREAKAWAY from everything and anything that stands in opposition to their God-given purpose, their fullest redemption in Christ, their resilience and dignity as human beings, and their opportunities to excel in productive livelihoods and offer positive contributions to society. Breakaway Outreach offers an array of outreach programs and strategic initiatives that serve abandoned, abused, neglected, delinquent, less privileged, and other at-risk youth/children. They work closely with the child welfare and juvenile justice system, prison agencies, foster care, school districts, and families to provide solutions that help young people overcome negative circumstances and build foundations to achieve a better future.

Most areas of ministry they offer fall into one of three operational categories: youth empowerment ministries, compassion/justice initiatives, and global missions. Through its Children of Inmates Ministry, Breakaway is committed to serving the holistic needs of children of incarcerated parents, younger siblings of incarcerated teens, and their families. Some of its juvenile justice outreach initiatives include chaplaincy services and volunteer training, training leaders to lead group Bible studies, sports outreaches, recreational programs, developing curriculum and discipleship resources, life skills training for youth, counseling, family care, and recovery groups, mentoring relationships, aftercare assistance and re-entry support, fostering a network for resources, community involvement, Camps and KidVenturez for younger siblings of incarcerated teens.
