Community Resource Guide is a self help guidebook for struggling individuals in the Los Angeles, California area. This handbook was created by the nonprofit organization, Center for Health Justice and sponsored by the City of Los Angeles. This Community Resource Guide can be read online, or downloaded and printed. It provides many essential support resources as well as information to assist formerly incarcerated individuals returning to their communities in the greater Los Angeles area. Topics covered include but are not limited to: obtaining identification information, applying for benefits, case management, free showers, clothing closets, homeless services, emergency shelter options, transitional housing, education, job training and placement, mental health, free and low cost health care, legal services and much more. Resources provided are for men, women, youth, seniors, and veterans, formerly incarcerated individuals, those experiencing homelessness and other at-risk people.
