Center for Human Development

Center for Human Development fosters numerous social service programs designed to support the community's most vulnerable members. The organization offers an expansive range of high-quality, community-oriented human services committed to encouraging, improving, and ensuring the dignity and welfare of individuals in need. These support programs range from emergency housing services to substance abuse and mental health treatment, as well as advocacy for young people in need and court mandated programming. Housing programs are available to adult individuals and families living without a home or facing eviction, youth shelters for young people experiencing homelessness or who have run away from home, and individuals in the Amherst community living with housing insecurity. Substance abuse and mental health treatment programs include both in-patient and intensive outpatient services depending on the specified need of each individual.
