The Center of Wrongful Convictions (CWC) Women's Project monitors potential cases of wrongfully convicted women across the country, facilitates the sharing of information about such cases, and educates the public about relevant issues. The project is run at the CWC's Bluhm Legal Clinic which is internationally recognized for its involvement in legal reform, and for advancing the goal of providing a skilled, ethical, and public-spirited legal profession integral to a society that values and promotes justice. The Women's project considers cases in which the person seeking assistance must be in no way responsible for the crimes of which she was convicted, and the trial must be completed and have resulted in a conviction and sentence. The Center on Wrongful Convictions (CWC) will consider cases that meet the following criteria: a claim of actual innocence: The person seeking assistance must be in no way responsible for the crimes of which he or she was convicted. Post-conviction status: The trial must be completed and have resulted in a conviction and sentence. If you believe that your claim fits these criteria, send a letter to the address provided. The letter should briefly summarize the events that led to your current incarceration.
