Children Of Incarcerated Parents Partnership

Children Of Incarcerated Parents Partnership

Description

The Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership was founded to assist children of incarcerated parents in Frederick, Maryland. Their belief is that children of incarcerated parents are a group of children who lack a voice of their own. Their mission is to foster the growth of strong, resilient, hopeful children who are impacted by an incarcerated loved one in the Frederick County region. The Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership hosts weekend children's activities, resource fairs for jail visitors, distributes quality children's books, awards scholarships and more. They also host parenting classes at the jail and caregiver workshops. In the community, the Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership hosts symposiums, presentations at churches, synagogues and community centers, and participates in community workshops.
