City of New Haven Prison Reentry Department offers community outreach programs and support services to formerly incarcerated individuals returning to the New Haven, Connecticut area. Through the collaboration of other local agencies and community partnerships, City of New Haven Prison Reentry Department is able to provide wraparound reintegration services in an effort to reduce recidivism. These reintegration programs include, but are not limited to, personalized assessment and case management, increased access to housing and job opportunities, education services, and other assistance to obtain self sufficiency. Additionally, City of New Haven Prison Reentry Department runs the Office of Project Fresh Start, a reintegration resource center where individual needs can be evaluated on a case by case basis. Referrals will be given to justice impacted individuals that need assistance and resources that are outside their scope of care.
