Concordance

Concordance

Description

Concordance is a community based advocacy group working to drastically impact mass incarceration and lower incarceration rates. Their mission is to radically reduce recidivism rates through a comprehensive, evidence-based program that supports citizens returning to the community after incarceration. As a faith-based organization, their methods and service are deeply informed by their collective faith in God and biblical teachings. The Concordance reentry model begins during pre-release, supporting individuals who are within six months of release through targeted skills training and assistance developing a reentry plan. Once released, individuals complete the "landing" phase and begin intensive out-patient services that last approximately six weeks. From 14 to 21 weeks, individuals gradually develop vocational skills, acquire part-time employment and eventually secure permanent employment. Those who remain with the program through the procurement of permanent employment participate in a graduation process. For more information about eligibility or to begin services, contact the organization directly.
