Connecticut Office of Chief Public Defender Parole Revocation Hearing Unit
Description
The Connecticut Office of Chief Public Defender Parole Revocation Hearing Unit is a branch chief public defender office for Connecticut. It is located in the city of Waterbury, Connecticut. The Division of Public Defender Services' new Parole Revocation Unit (PRU) provides representation to individuals in the parole revocation proceedings. PRU attorneys are primarily responsible for appearing before the Board of Pardons and Paroles (BOPP) on behalf of their clients. Public Defender field offices will provide information and support. Clients may be asked to participate in the revocation proceedings when appropriate. Any parolee who has received a Notice of Parole Violation form from their parole officer may apply for representation by the Parole Revocation Unit. Parolees may apply either through the Public Defender field office handling the parolee's new criminal/motor vehicle matters or, in the case of technical violations, the parolee should contact PRU directly at (203) 596-4370 to request an application packet.
