The Delaware County Public Defender's Office has one Public Defender and four Assistant Public Defenders. This County Public Defender's office is committed to the pursuit of justice by aggressively advocating for the constitutional rights and inherent dignity of individuals who are accused or convicted of crimes and cannot afford to pay for a lawyer. This office will advance the rights of all individuals by developing innovative approaches to promote beneficial change to the justice system and by serving as a valuable resource to the larger community. To find out if you are considered indigent and if qualify to receive legal representation from the Public Defender's office, you must first complete and submit a financial disclosure form which may be done through the website or by visiting the Public Defender’s office.
