Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, Inc.

Description

Delaware Volunteer Legal Services is a collaborative of legal experts offering pro-bono services to low-income clients. Members of the Delaware State Bar Association founded the organization in response to individuals who lack the ability to obtain quality legal representation, and to address the gaps created by funding cuts to public legal services in the state of Delaware. Currently, Delaware Volunteer Legal Services offers free legal services to Delaware residents with qualifying civil legal problems. They are not equipped to offer services for criminal charges or criminal convictions at this time. Additionally, potential clients must meet eligibility guidelines established by the organization, including a household income that meets poverty thresholds. For those who qualify, they may seek assistance in cases dealing with protective orders, housing conflicts, drafting and executing wills, custody conflicts, divorce and child support issues. For more information, or to discuss eligibility, contact Delaware Volunteer Legal Services directly by phone.
