Destination Freedom

Destination Freedom is a nonprofit organization committed to assisting incarcerated individuals as they work to secure their freedom. They were established to protect the rights of incarcerated individuals, offer support for those pursuing appeals or other legal means of obtaining freedom, and rehabilitating those who exit the incarceration system. Destination Freedom's mission is to support efforts to lower recidivism rates and help incarcerated individuals receive clemency or parole. They currently work with individuals in the Nevada and/or Colorado corrections systems. Their services include document management for all legal paperwork, assistance with research about precedent and previous court cases, access to a notary public and assistance preparing typed versions of any relevant materials. The Pathways to Freedom program further assists individuals through multiple support services designed to address the common barriers to reentry. This program works to disrupt the cycle of incarceration and ensure that those who receive clemency or parole are able to reintegrate into the community permanently.
