Disability Rights Center – NH Juvenile Justice
Description
The Disability Rights Center of New Hampshire defends, advances, and strengthens the legal rights and advocacy interests of people with disabilities. Their mission is to pursue appropriate legal, administrative, and other relief on behalf of people with disabilities. In addition, the organization helps people with various issues relating to disabilities, such as special education, accessibility, employment discrimination, home and community-based services, and healthcare by providing information, referrals, counseling, advocacy, and legal representation. The center envisions an inclusive, accessible, and just society. The Disability Rights Center works to end unjust treatment and discrimination against people with disabilities in the adult correctional system. They represent a limited number of incarcerated people with unique disability questions, such as access to assistive devices or treatment for Hepatitis C. The DRC does not take general medical care, provider, or treatment choice cases. For more information or to request assistance, contact the Disability Rights Center directly.
