East Tennesse Human Resource Agency (ETHRA)
Description
East Tennesse Human Resource Agency, or ETHRA, is a community based organization that helps marginalized people. ETHRA assists families and individuals from all walks of life. Support is offered to justice impacted people through their Community Corrections Day Reporting Centers (DRC), judicial support services, education, legal assistance, employment and housing. The DRC offers an alternative to incarceration by placing eligible participants in structured and intensive outpatient programs. The programs provide resources and services to justice involved individuals to assist them as they work towards becoming productive citizens in their communities. Additionally, the Community Youth Intervention program at ETHRA offers various services to juveniles and their families. Services include drug screens, alcohol and drug counseling, random curfew checks, monitoring of community service, a parenting curriculum, value training, life skills training, school visits to monitor behavior and progress, home visits, and monitoring payment of court-ordered obligations such as victim restitution, court costs, and fines. ETHRA's other services for justice involved individuals include Misdemeanor Probation Services and DUI education classes.
