The Federal Public Defender for the Central District of Illinois' Rock Island Office is located in Rock Island, Illinois. With around two Assistant Public Defenders, the Rock Island Office represents citizens accused of federal crimes in the Central District of Illinois who cannot afford to hire a lawyer. This office is appointed by the court to represent clients. The Federal Public Defender's office also represents individuals appealing their convictions in the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
