Federal Public Defender for the District of Wyoming’s Cheyenne Office
Description
The Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Districts of Wyoming's Cheyenne office is a branch of the federal public defender's office for the districts of Colorado and Wyoming. With around 1-2 public defenders the Cheyenne office has been appointed to provide trial-related legal representation in federal district court, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court – to persons charged with or convicted of crimes. Trial attorneys based out of the Cheyenne office are there for their clients from their first appearance in court to the conclusion of their district court case, working closely with investigators to develop the facts and appellate specialists on their Motions Team to address complex legal questions. The office is committed to the eradication of discrimination and unconscious bias in the criminal legal system.
