The Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Oklahoma is located in Tulsa and is the main public defender's office for the Northern District of Oklahoma. With three panel attorneys on staff, the Federal Public Defender's office provides legal defense to any defendant who is unable to obtain counsel. The defendant is entitled to have counsel appointed to represent them at every stage of the proceeding, from initial appearance through appeal--unless the defendant waives this right.
