The Federal Public Defender for the Western District of Virginia's Roanoke Office is the main federal public defender's office for the Western District of Virginia. With one federal public defender, one first assistant federal public defender and four panel attorney on staff, the Roanoke office collaborates to provide representation for the indigent accused at all stages of federal criminal litigation. They promise that their clients will be heard, respected, and treated in a way that is fair, unburdened by prejudice or bias and promotes their dignity as members of our community. They will not only defend our clients, they will do so by listening with an open mind and considering the conditions and experiences that have shaped their lives.
