First Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Weirton Office, WV
Description
The First Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Weirton office, located in West Virginia, serves indigent clients in Brooke & Hancock counties. With a team of four Assistant Public Defenders and other legal staff, this office provides legal representation to adults and juveniles accused of a crime who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer in Brooke & Hancock counties. The Public Defender Services (PDS) administers the Second Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office. PDS funds all indigent defense for the State of West Virginia. They provide representation by two methods private attorneys on a court-appointed basis and full-time public defenders at public defender corporations.
