The Fremont County Public Defender's Office is located in Lander, WY. With one Supervising Attorney and other legal support staff, this Public Defender's office's mission is to provide effective assistance of counsel to indigent adults and juveniles accused of a crime in Fremont County. The Public Defender ensures that every accused citizen, regardless of financial resources, receives zealous and effective representation as mandated by the United States and Wyoming Constitutions. Public Defenders have an ethical responsibility to work for the best possible resolution of the case for the client. All dealings between a court-appointed attorney and the client are confidential.
