The Hamilton County Public Defender's Juvenile Division is located in Cincinnati, OH. With one Director, two team leads, 13 defense attorneys, a paralegal, an investigator, and three support staff, the Hamilton County Public Defender's Adult Juvenile Division specializes primarily in representing children charged with criminal offenses. Their office also represents parents charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child endangerment. Its mission is to provide indigent clients with zealous and competent representation through education, continuous training, and vast legal knowledge and always give each child a voice throughout delinquency. Additionally, they aim to ensure that each child's statutory and constitutional rights are recognized, protected and acknowledged. They appreciate that children can be rehabilitated when given the appropriate tools and encouragement. The right to counsel guaranteed to every American citizen accused of a crime is embodied in the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution and applicable to the states through the Fourteenth Amendment. An integral component of the right to counsel is the right to court-appointed counsel for those unable to hire an attorney.
