The Community Re-Entry Network Program is a program of the Houston Health Department. They work towards fulfilling the needs of formerly incarcerated persons and interrupting the cycle of recidivism. The Community Re-Entry Network Program works with the community to identify, plan, and implement effective strategies to reduce recidivism, increase public safety, and successfully assist and support returning citizens in their transition to become productive, contributing members of the Houston community. The services include anger management, case management, counseling, job readiness, life skills courses, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), peer support groups, resources, referrals, linkages, Texas Drug Offenders Education Program (TDOEP) and Thinking for a Change program. Their Anger Management program is a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration-approved, 12-hour program provided at affordable rates.
