Indiana Federal Community Defenders, Inc. for the Southern District of Indiana
Description
The Indiana Federal Community Defenders, (IFCD) Inc. for the Southern District of Indiana is located in Indianapolis, Indiana. With one Federal Public Defender and four Assistant Federal Public Defenders, the Indiana Federal Community Defender's office represents people charged with federal crimes in the Southern District of Indiana who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer. The mission of the Indiana Federal Community Defender’s Office is to provide high quality, client centered representation to indigent defendants. Their goal is to reach the best possible result and to ensure that no client feels disadvantaged or compromised due to the inability to retain private counsel. IFCD can only represent people if the court appoints them based on financial status. The defense team includes a trial attorney, an attorney who specializes in research and writing, an investigator, a paralegal, and a legal secretary. These resources will be used to help win the best possible outcome for your case. If there are other defendants in the case, this office can represent only one person. If they can’t represent you, and you qualify financially, IFCD will arrange for the court to appoint a private lawyer, known as a “panel attorney.” For more information on the services of Indiana Federal Community Defenders, Inc. for the Southern District of Indiana, please contact them directly.
