Inside Journal

Description

Inside Journal is an in-prison newspaper for prisoners that is published by the organization, Prison Fellowship. It is published four times a year in March, June, September, and December in Men's, Women's, and Spanish editions. Inside Journal has a variety of inspiring and engaging content on topics like parenting, conflict resolution, trauma and addiction recovery, and much more. Each edition offers the hope of the Gospel, relatable stories of other prisoners with transformed lives, and practical advice about making the most of a prison sentence. This newspaper also includes free resources for prisoners, such as Bible studies, devotionals, and crossword puzzles. At around 20 cents a copy to publish and ship, Inside Journal brings encouragement and hope to the men and women behind bars. It is circulated in more than 900 correctional facilities in all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico.

The Inside Journal “Reentry” special edition helps prepare men and women for a successful transition back into the community, with tips and tools for adjusting to life after their release. The Inside Journal “R&O” special edition, to be distributed in facilities where prisoners go through a “Reception and Orientation” processing period, provides tools and tips on how newly incarcerated men and women can best serve their time. If you have a friend or family member behind bars, you can print a pdf copy of Inside Journal and mail it to them. Individual subscriptions are not available. Alternatively, chaplains and prison ministry staff or volunteers (prisons, jails, reentry centers) can get access to Inside Journal by writing to Prison Fellowship.
