Jeffrey's House is a sober living environment available to individuals in recovery for substance abuse disorder. Their mission is to group individuals in recovery with peers and those who have maintained sobriety successfully upon completion of the program. This camaraderie is essential to long term recovery, as participants develop a network of support that continues to offer intervention, encouragement and guidance during difficult moments. It is important to understand that Jeffrey's House is not a medical treatment facility or detoxification center. Rather, residents come to Jeffrey's House after completion of voluntary or court ordered detoxification programs, or upon the completion of intensive substance abuse treatment programs in clinics or hospitals. Staff and residents at Jeffrey's House are not medical professionals, but they understand that the most challenging time for many individuals in recovery is the period of time right after exiting intensive treatment programs, where peer support can help to ensure sobriety.
