JUST of DuPage is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to serving incarcerated individuals through spiritual guidance and mentorship. The organization operates inside the DuPage County Correctional Facility and the surrounding community. They provide a combination of spiritual, educational, vocational and treatment services to incarcerated individuals in an effort to prepare them for a successful reentry into the community. Their Addiction Recovery program is staffed by individuals trained to provide counseling around the underlying factors that contribute to chronic substance abuse. The goal is to promote permanent changes that reduce the likelihood that participants will reenter the justice system due to addiction related crimes. Educational and vocational services encourage individuals to develop the skills necessary to reenter the community and achieve independent living. JUST of DuPage hopes that their combination of services will offer incarcerated individuals the best chance at turning their lives around for good, reducing recidivism and incarceration rates in the community.
