Lakeshore Legal Aid
Description
Lakeshore Legal Aid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. They offer targeted legal services to eligible individuals, including indigent clients and elderly individuals who may otherwise be unable to secure quality legal representation. The mission of the organization is to combat poverty and injustice through a combination of legal services and advocacy. Volunteer legal practitioners offer a broad set of services focused on injustice, including the areas of: family law, housing advocacy, protection from abuse, consumer services, public benefits, tax law, individual rights, and access to the workforce. Specialists connect with potential clients to determine the specific needs and legal options available based on their situation. Whenever possible, lawyers offer services at no cost to clients and help them to navigate their respective legal issues without the added pressure of legal fees. For more information about specific services or to request representation, contact the organization directly.
