Description

The Lehigh County Public Defender's Office is located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The office represents eligible individuals in all misdemeanors and felonies, excluding ARD qualified Driving Under the Influence charges. They also represent juveniles in delinquency matters and individuals charged with Driving with a Suspended license-DUI-related involuntary mental health commitments, and any other case where representation is constitutionally required. Their staff comprises of 19 attorneys, two investigators and four administrative assistants. Their office strives to meet their clients' needs and protect their civil liberties under the United States and the Pennsylvania Constitutions. The Public Defender's Office mission endeavors to protect their clients' rights by providing vigorous, compassionate and ethical legal representation to individuals who cannot afford to pay for an attorney.
