Haley House is a multifaceted organization that seeks to uplift the most vulnerable citizens in the community through targeted support. Their mission is to utilize food with purpose and the strength of community to tear down barriers between individuals, uplift people, and strengthen neighborhoods. They believe in radical solutions: addressing problems at the ground level by challenging mentalities that perpetuate suffering and building alternative models. Haley House has two live-in communities, one that offers residence for up to two years and another that is a summer residency. These programs include access to safe, sober living environments and an opportunity to help run the social services programs that Haley House provides to community members. They also have a food pantry program, a soup kitchen and a reentry program to assist community members who face barriers due to financial insecurity and/or criminal convictions.
