LifeLine to Success
Description
LifeLine to Success is a faith-based organization that provides support and transforms justice impacted people into assets for society. Lifeline trains and employs formerly incarcerated people in Memphis. They also address crime, horror, violence, joblessness and other aspects of criminal culture. Lifeline to Success' Institute is an educational program that offers an organized curriculum for justice-involved individuals. They offer three to four hours of daily classroom instruction and interactive discussion on various topics, including anger management and conflict resolution. Beyond the classroom, the Institute provides participants with a comprehensive list of opportunities to engage. Employment opportunities include a landscape maintenance program, janitorial services, After School Drop-In, faith-based counsel and fellowship, community engagement including anti-violence marches, block parties, and other community events such as memorializing fallen officers. The Junior Blight Patrol is comprised of teenagers who assist staff and team members in running the After School Drop-In and work with members of the Blight Patrol doing summer work and planning community events.
