Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) Juvenile Justice Re-Entry Program
Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) Juvenile Justice Re-Entry Program is a division committed to supporting justice involved youth. Their mission is to ensure successful transitions of young people from Bay Pines and Shawono Juvenile Facility’s programs into their local communities at the end of their sentences. The first step in the Juvenile Justice Re-Entry Program is to meet with staff and develop a reentry plan, which helps youth identify the supports and potential barriers they will encounter upon their release. Whenever necessary, the organization can help to facilitate referrals and connect individuals with social service programs that specialize in working with formerly incarcerated youth. The goal is to disrupt the cycle of incarceration early and prevent a lifetime of recidivism, offering youth a sustainable pathway to financial security and community support.
