New Visions Community Church

New Visions Community Church is a faith based organization committed to supporting individuals and the community through spiritual guidance. Their Foster Care Review Board is part of a statewide Foster Care Review Office that includes 53 total review boards. These review boards meet once a month to review local cases and determine the best interests of children in the foster system. Their expressed mission is to ensure oversight of both the foster system and the youth criminal justice system, centering their attention on how best to serve young people and give them the best chance at a second chance. Reviews include determining whether or not a child's permanency plan is being followed, if children are currently in a safe environment, and whether or not any changes need to be made for the child.
