No Exceptions Prison Collective
Description
No Exceptions Prison Collective is a grassroots organization in Nashville, TN, dedicated to ending carceral slavery by advocacy. The organization is led by individuals directly impacted by carceral slavery, including incarcerated people and those outside. No Exceptions focuses on three primary areas for advocacy and organizing: sentencing reform, internal conditions and abolition of all private prisons. They work to achieve these ends through education, legislation, litigation, organizing, and high profile direct actions. Through education in faith-based communities, universities, and schools, they seek to educate and engage the community. This is done through discussions on the realities of mass incarceration, the Prison Industrial Complex, the need for change, and the possibilities of creating alternative policies. No Exceptions also help families of justice impacted people in Tennessee and brings together other collaborators and sister organizations toward the completion of mutual goals.
