Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center’s Old Dominion Court Services

The Old Dominion Court Services (ODCS) is a division of the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center dedicated to providing services for released people. ODCS encompasses the Alcohol Safety Action Program, Pretrial Services and Local Probation. The function of Pretrial Services is to provide supervision to those defendants who have pretrial supervision as a condition of bail. Supervision often includes face-to-face contact, verification of employment and residence, drug and alcohol testing, and assisting the defendant regarding local social or human services. Old Dominion Court Services' Local Probation Agency (ODCS LPA) is an Evidence-Based Program which utilizes assessments, effective communication/motivation strategies, incentives and sanctions, case planning and appropriate community referrals for the supervision of court-ordered prisoners. In addition to monitoring court-ordered obligations, LPA attempts to address criminogenic risk factors of the clients. Appropriate referrals address pro-social behavior to substance abuse treatment, cognitive behavior treatment and individual meetings where goal setting and criminal thinking errors are discussed. For more information, please contact the Old Dominion Court Services directly.
