OIC of South Florida

Section Title

OIC of South Florida

OIC of South Florida is a community based organization committed to easing the transition back into the workforce. Their mission is to serve individuals described as unemployed, underemployed and unskilled by addressing the barriers they face toward self-sufficient living. Often, these barriers arise as a result of criminal conviction. The Workforce Development Division works with formerly incarcerated individuals and those experiencing generational poverty, offering key job development training and skills alongside mentorship and assistance with job placement. Notably, OIC of South Florida also participates in intervention services by visiting middle and high schools. Their coursework on career awareness and readiness programming help young people enter adulthood with a clear, viable path toward independent living. This multilayered approach ensures that the organization will further its mission to reduce incarceration through the combined support of at risk youth and justice involved adults. For more information about specific services, contact the organization directly.
