Oxford House

Oxford House is a nonprofit organization that serves as an umbrella network of all Oxford Houses to connect and allocate resources where the need arises. Since establishing the very first Oxford House in 1975, their purpose has been to help individuals and families overcome drug and alcohol addiction through these sober living environments. They now operate over two thousand self run, self supported recovery houses throughout the United States. The Oxford houses support more than 25,000 individuals in recovery at any one time, and over 45,000 over the course of a year. Residents of these houses are expected to maintain all costs associated with the house, including rent, utilities and other household expenses. Recovering individuals can apply to get into any Oxford House by filling out an application and being interviewed by current household members. Contact Oxford House directly for answers to any questions and more information about their sober living housing services.
