Palmetto Goodwill

Goodwill is a national organization committed to breaking the cycle of poverty and reducing incarceration across the country. The Palmetto Goodwill chapter in South Carolina welcomes individuals who are required by court to do community service. Applicants begin by providing the paperwork from the courts to the community service coordinator. Program participants can receive assistance with career planning, training completion, job searches, resume building, interview preparation and government funding for certifications. All of these services are offered out of the Goodwill Career Opportunity Centers in South Carolina. Palmetto Goodwill’s Career Credentialing Program is designed to offer intensive, on-site certification courses in fields such as Welding, and CDL, along with hundreds of online offerings in fields like IT/Software. Additionally, they partner with educational institutions to offer an online high school diploma program and various other online career certification courses.
