People For People (PFP)

People For People (PFP) is a Washinton-based community service organization working to strengthen communities by providing opportunities that empower people to lead self-sufficient and enriched lives. The Diversion program at PFP is a partnership with the City of Yakima to connect low-level, repeat wrongdoers to work and life skills that keep them from repeating offenses. Ex-incarcerated people with offenses such as chronic criminal justice system users, misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses arising out of Yakima Municipal Court, if the defendant qualifies are eligible for this program. Participants are asked to perform community service hours and complete the given goals.

PFP offers employment and training services for individuals to gain and retain employment under the Workforce Innovations and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Work first and other special projects. PFP also provides transportation services for individuals who may not have access to public or private transportation or who have physical, cognitive, or other impairments that may require specialized transportation. PFP's Meals On Wheels program offers food at seven meal sites that are located throughout Yakima County where seniors 60 and older can enjoy a hot, nutritious meal, socialize, or play games. Delivery services provide homebound seniors a hot meal in the comfort of their own homes. PFP helps Youth 16 to 24 year old by offering GED, Job training, Work experience, Certification programs, Tuition assistance and more.
