Remerg

Description

Remerg maintains a comprehensive database of resources and organizations that assist formerly incarcerated individuals during reentry. The mission of Remerg is to disrupt the cycle of recidivism and address mass incarceration by making it easy and efficient for justice involved individuals to locate the information they need when returning to the community. Access to community organizations and residential programs can help ensure that formerly incarcerated individuals have the best chance at permanent reentry. Resources included in the Remerg database focus on a wide range of needs, including assistance with job development and securing employment, educational programs tailored to the needs of justice involved individuals, residential and rehabilitation centers, personal development programs and help obtaining government documents. Remerg is a registered nonprofit organization and, in addition to housing a database of support services, the organization works as an advocate to reduce prison populations across the state.
