Renewal, Inc. is committed to the restoration of justice-impacted individuals and their safe return to the community after incarceration. Their mission is to empower individuals recovering from chemical dependence and/or facing barriers to independent living due to criminal conviction. Their goal is to offer research-based support to assist individuals trying to reenter the workforce and reunify with family regardless of ethnicity, gender or sexual institution. Renewal operates a number of support services for justice-impacted individuals. The work release program provides positive job development experiences and works directly with case managers to ensure that incarcerated individuals have the opportunities they need to succeed during reentry and work toward financial independence. Work release is available to individuals referred to Renewal by corrections facilities and/or court officers, including the FBI, Bureau of Prisons, and the Pennsylvania corrections system. Renewal also offers drug and alcohol rehabilitation, as well as outpatient services to those with mental health needs.
