Rough Rider Industries
Description
Rough Rider Industries, or RRI, provides job training and employment opportunities to currently incarcerated individuals. This program is a division of the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. RRI employs incarcerated individuals that demonstrate good behavior to build quality products for the public. This self-sustaining organization prepares participants to reintegrate into society as successfully as possible by giving them a means to support themselves, and a renewed outlook on life. Participants are able to develop vital skill sets, generate wages, and learn valuable life lessons. The work at RRI helps individuals to rejoin their community with a new perspective which can improve their quality of life upon release. RRI operates within three different DOC facilities: North Dakota State Penitentiary (NDSP) located in Bismarck, James River Correctional Center (JRCC) located in Jamestown, and Missouri River Correctional Center (MRCC) located in Bismarck. Individuals manufacture a variety of goods, including furniture, clothing, bedding and more. Contact Rough Rider Industries directly for answers to any questions and more information on their services.
