Description

The Rutherford County Re-Entry Program is a State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services-led program. The Re-Entry Program addresses criminal thinking, substance abuse, mental health, and basic life skills through evidence-based programming, case management, and other reintegration and recovery supports and referrals. The program's goal is to promote long-term recovery and independence for those incarcerated in Rutherford County as they transition back into society. The program is housed at the Rutherford County Correctional Work Center and Adult Detention Center. Programming services provided by the reentry team are designed for those serving at least three months. However, services and resources are available to all incarcerated people. The mission of the Rutherford County Re-Entry Program is to provide comprehensive services to all those impacted by incarceration to improve the overall quality of life while improving public safety and reducing recidivism. Individuals gain tools to achieve long-term stability through accountability, encouragement, preparation, and empowerment.
