Reentry Works is a program maintained by the San Diego Workforce Partnership to address the specific needs of formerly incarcerated people. The mission of the organization is to assist those impacted by the justice system reenter the workforce and pair participants with employers who do not discriminate on the basis of a criminal record. Currently, Reentry Works only serves adults over the age of 18 who have been directly involved with the justice system. All participants will receive assistance determining a career or careers that suit their strengths and interests, help locating temporary employment and internships, placement services for long term employment and job skills development. Reentry Works staff believe that a solid career is an essential step in disrupting the cycle of recidivism and ensuring that formerly incarcerated individuals reintegrate into the community for good.
