Seymour Prison and Reentry Ministry

Seymour Prison and Reentry Ministry is a faith based program dedicated to easing the transition back into the community after incarceration. Volunteers work hard to ensure that formerly incarcerated individuals have the spiritual guidance and leadership necessary to address the underlying factors that often contribute to reincarceration and recidivism. They partner with two community centers that foster faith based mentorship and fellowship, Brother 2 Brother LIFEQUEST Urban Outreach Center and CLEAR Oakdale Christian Reformed Church. Seymour Prison and Reentry Ministry also partners with several local ministries to offer residential services and temporary housing to individuals in need. Other collaborations include a partnership with two local organizations focused on vocational services, as well as connections to several rehabilitation programs and treatment centers to serve those recovering from substance abuse or experiencing mental health crisis.
