Social Apostolate's mission is to provide support for low-income, unhoused, disabled and at-risk members of the Savannah community. They are a faith-based organization that applies bible-based ideologies to charity and social justice. Social Apostolate offers a number of programs and services, including emergency food assistance, clothing and school uniform needs, and emergency needs for babies. Staff help individuals obtain birth certificates and Georgia identification cards to facilitate better access to support services and government assistance, as well as employment opportunities. They also offer access to a weekly clinic, eye exams, emergency prescription services and certain medical equipment. Individuals can contact the program directly for support or to begin services.
