South Carolina for Criminal Justice Reform (SC4CJR)

South Carolina for Criminal Justice Reform, or SC4CJR, is an advocacy organization dedicated to achieving criminal justice reform in South Carolina. SC4CJR's focus areas include crime prevention and recidivism reduction, rights education and awareness, transparent and fair prosecution, humane jail and prison conditions and reduced financial burdens of mass incarceration, harsh sentencing, and over-criminalization on South Carolina taxpayers. Additionally, SC4CJR offers educational programs on various aspects of the criminal justice system that are designed to address the needs of community members of all ages and backgrounds. Some of the programs include Constitutional Rights Education and Criminal Justice Reform Education. Along with advocacy, SC4CJR offers informative articles to spread awareness and inform the public about the issues in the justice system.
