St. Vincent de Paul's Mission of Waterbury offers comprehensive services to the most vulnerable members of the community. The mission operates an on-site thrift store, a soup kitchen and food pantry, and numerous housing communities. The thrift store utilizes a sliding scale to meet individuals where they are, with items ranging from no cost to low cost. The soup kitchen and food pantry are available to community members at no charge. Cornerstone Supervised Apartments is an 18-bed apartment community for individuals with serious mental health needs, while Casa De Rosa serves up to 8 adults at a time who require long term treatment for mental health conditions. The Homeless Shelter and Resource Center, the largest of their shelters, serves up to 126 people each night, providing emergency shelter, a hot shower and support services that extended beyond the individuals stay.
