The Stevens Point Public Defender's Office serves the Portage and Waupaca counties located in Wisconsin. They provide a fully competent, effective, and ethical defense to each client whose cause has been entrusted to the office for representation. In addition, the office has five Assistant Special Public Defenders (SPD), attorneys, and other supporting staff that provide legal representation to indigent defendants in Portage and Waupaca counties who cannot pay for private counsel and risk losing their liberty if convicted.
