Straight Ahead Ministries

Straight Ahead Ministries is a faith based organization that offers a number of programs to support justice impacted young people. There are five youth reentry program sites, including Worcester, Boston, Lawrence, and New Bedford, Massachusetts. At each of these sites, youth participants work with case managers, mentors and peers to close any education gaps and prepare to reenter the workforce after incarceration. The goal of these programs is to prepare young people for permanent reentry into the community, and to show them what a positive peer support network looks like. Additionally, Straight Ahead Ministries offers ministry to currently incarcerated young people, instilling them with the groundwork for Christian living and permanent behavioral changes. The organization helps to facilitate job readiness programs for those youth in the community who have little or no training so that they can secure stable employment.
