Description

Tacoma Rescue Mission, or TRM, is a faith-based organization committed to offering help and hope through healing to the most impoverished members of the community. TRM provides emergency services such as shelter and food to the homeless or hurting; offers self-sufficiency programs to help lift a person from poverty and break the chains of addiction; supports prevention programs, and shares Christian faith. Their men's shelter provides safe overnight shelter and warm, nutritious meals to homeless men in the community. The women's shelter provides safe refuge, meals, showers, laundry services, case management and more to women in need. In addition, TRM's Career Development Services offer support systems to overcome employment and educational barriers. Resources provided include resume building, interview skills training, personalized career guidance, computer literacy classes, financial literacy classes, guidance in pursuing further education and more.
